Phil leads Engineering and Construction at Voltwise, responsible for overseeing engineering, construction and commissioning through to operational handover. He has over 40 years of experience in the energy sector, including roles at distribution network organisations (SSEN, UK Power Networks, NGED) and independent connection providers. Before joining Voltwise, Phil was Engineering and Projects Director for the BESS division of SMS where he led the start-to-finish build of seven operational BESS assets (totalling 320 MW) and oversaw a significant construction and contract pipeline. Phil is an Electricity Supply Industry Trained Electrical Power Engineer.
