Hristo leads commercial origination across Voltwise’s battery storage portfolio in Great Britain and Germany. He is responsible for tolling, floor and route-to-market agreements, Capacity Market strategy and regulatory engagement. At Voltwise, he is bringing new hedging structures to market, including partial tolling and long-tenor virtual tolls. He led the company’s first route-to-market negotiation in Germany and saw its first German project through to financial close. Hristo has built his career in European power markets. Before joining Voltwise, he worked at cfp energy, leading physical power and gas strategy across Continental European markets. Earlier, he spent three years at bp Trading & Shipping, where he established a physical power hedging business and negotiated PPAs in the UK and Germany. Hristo is an alumnus of the University of Bath and speaks English, German and Bulgarian.
